World Series of Poker 2001
In April/May of 2001, Phil, Rafe and Perry spent an entire month at
the World Series of Poker playing in the various events and sampling
Vegas' ever-improving nightlife. Capping off an amazingly fun month,
Phil snagged 4th place in the main event ($10K buy-in no-limit
holdem), beating out over 600 other players, including
former world
champ,
Phil Hellmuth, Jr.,
at the final table. Following are some Tiltboy-centric links, info
and recaps about the experience.
- Travel Channel's one hour special on the 2001 WSOP aired on
Nov. 6, which includes copious coverage of, and interviews with, Phil,
and a few well-timed quick shots of Rafe. We will try to post some of
the video highlights when time permits.
